Senior Android Developer

We are the first software solution to provide streaming 2-way communication directly with vehicles and across vehicle brands. Our platform offers simple and intuitive 100% GDPR and CCPA-compliant consent management, enabling improved and personalized features and experiences for vehicle owners, fleet owners, drivers, and passengers with robust data privacy. Car owners can choose which digital services they want, who they want to share their data with, and who they don't.

About the Role

We are looking for an Android developer responsible for developing and maintaining applications aimed at many diverse Android devices, particularly Connected Cars utilizing Android Automotive OS. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and data integration with cloud services. You will work alongside other engineers and developers on different infrastructure layers. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Responsibilities:

·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and deliver new features

·      Understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

·      Write clean and efficient code for Android applications

·      Perform unit and instrumentation testing

·      Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs and stay up-to-date with new mobile technology trends and applications

Skills:

·      Fluent English is required

·      Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS)

·      Strong knowledge of Android SDK for various versions

·      Proven experience in design principles, patterns, and best practices

·      Familiarity with billing systems and encryption in Android

·      Familiarity with additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers

·      Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

·      Knowledge of open-source Android libraries and tools

·      Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

·      Familiarity with RESTful APIs, cloud messaging, and push notifications

·      Experience with continuous integration

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field

·      5-8 years of experience in a software development role using AOSP or related tools

·      Solid understanding of the entire mobile development life cycle

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·      Strong organizational and time-management skills

·      Knowledge of best practices for information security

·      Ability to align multiple strategies and ideas

·      Confidence in presenting and delivering work

Additional Notes:

·      You will be working for a US Company.

·      The rest of the team is from different nations, so fluent English is a must.

·      This is fully remote work; there is no office.

·      Salary will be in US Dollars.
