In the significantly expanded HeidelbergCement Group, around 59,000 employees work at more than 3,000 production sites in around 60 countries on five continents. For our office located in Istanbul, we are currently looking for a Shipping Operations Officer  

Responsibilities:

• Assisting and supporting the Chartering Managers with the preparation and follow up of the operational subjects below: 

1. Execution of Charter Parties 
2. Operational work related to shipments 
3. Payment requests and procedural approvals, 
4.  Statement of Accounts 
5. Data entry into the ERP system 
6. Daily reports/files 
7.  Laytime calculations & past fixture records 

• Close interaction with other departments (trading, documentation) 
• Co-ordination with other offices abroad 
• Other Ad-hoc requests from the Shipping Team 

Qualifications / requirements:

• University degree, preferably in Maritime Business Administration, Shipping or a related field with GPA over 3.00 / 4.00 with graduation in the top 10%
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English is very important. 
• Self-motivated professional, team-player, excellent communicator 
• Proven track record of being dynamic, goal oriented, highly flexible and hardworking 
• Able to handle stress with full dedication to work in a challenging, multinational, complex and fast-paced environment 
• Strong analytical skills Good PC skills; Proficiency with Microsoft Office software – Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
• Good negotiation and presentation skills 
• Accurate, well organized and punctual 
• Able to work in a complex and fast paced environment 
• Understanding of different cultures
