We're looking for a "Big Data Engineer" for our Head Office in Mecidiyeköy.

Millions of Hepsiburada customers discover new products through the features such as "Trending Products", "People who viewed this product also viewed" (similarity), "Bought Together" (complementary) and personalized recommendations like "Recommended for You" on Hepsiburada platforms.

Our problems are complex and large scale. We use data in motion, the data at rest, statistical analysis and machine learning methods to solve them and bring our solutions alive with high-performance APIs on various channels. We use exciting modern technologies and state-of-the-art methodologies to achieve our goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Software and Data Engineer, you will implement ETL pipelines, event-driven applications, high performance rest APIs, and machine learning model serving layers using various languages and tools using the observability patterns (logging, tracing, monitoring). You will work with quality assurance engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and managers to bring our new features to our customers through small-sized deliverables in a fast and safe manner. 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture
• Containerization and Docker
• 2+ years experience in one or more programming languages: Java, Scala, C#, Python, Golang
• 2+ years experience in one or more databases: Redis, HBase, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
• SQL
• Test Driven Development
• Eager to learn

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Observability Tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, etc.)
• One or more CI tools: GoCD, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD
• Computing frameworks: Hive, Spark
• Workflow scheduler tools such as Oozie, Airflow
• Kubernetes
• Scrum
• Spring Boot
• Domain Driven Design
