We are looking for a Geometric Integration and Ergonomics Engineer with the following specifications for our company that provides design and engineering services in the automotive industry for local and international platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• BS or MS Degree in Automotive / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Aeronautical Engineering,
• 2+ years of Engineering experience with an automotive OEM or supplier.  Working knowledge of automotive interior, exterior, cabin underbody and underhood packaging preferred,
• Conversant with current and forthcoming vehicle architectures and system technologies,
• General knowledge of legal vehicle requirements and an awareness of the legal impacts vehicle package,
• Extensive CAD experience (CATIA, NX and Solid Edge preferred), and demonstrated ability in developing and designing product solutions. Must be able to operate an NX or CATIA system and create packaging drawings and proposals as needed,
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools - Siemens Teamcenter preferred,
• Motivation, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with tight timing constraints,
• Problem-solving and clear communication, organization and negotiation skills,
• Desire a candidate who is assertive, self-motivated and can work with minimal direction,
• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English,
• Flexible for short trips abroad
• Preferably residing in the Asian side of İstanbul / Kocaeli




JOB DESCRIPTION

• Perform mechanical design and packaging of vehicle components to meet system and vehicle requirements while optimizing for efficiency, cost, weight, ergonomics, manufacturability and serviceability
• Create Layout in both 2D and 3D CAD (Siemens NX - Catia V5)
• Negotiate component location with Vehicle Module Engineers to achieve efficient package safeguarding customer space targets and protecting legal and functional geometric requirements
• Lead team(s) in solving complex packaging problems
• Control geometric relationship between product sub-systems/parts and identify incongruity on Digital Mockups with Siemens NX and Catia V5
• Support CAD studies for vehicle variants and platform studies
• Run package meetings and provider package schemes to resolve cross-functional issues
• Raise and lead resolution of package related concerns
• Create engineering designs and drawings to enable build and modification of physical package bucks.
• Support BOM and Change Control processes, including weight management
