We are seeking a high calibre professional for “Managing Director/Breeding Operations” position for our foreign client which is a leading company in agricultural industry and located in Antalya.

The candidate we are looking for will be responsible for the organization and functioning of the trial stations, the breeding teams, the crop maintenance team and the trialing team. He/she will take care that the breeding trials are commercially relevant, and results are well communicated with the commercial team. This requires an understanding of the Turkish vegetable seed market and close interactions with the commercial and product development teams of the company. As a manager the successful candidate has an important people orientated role, managing the breeding team in several stations across Turkey. He/she will provide purpose, direction, and motivation for the team. Every year he/she will make a five-year development plan, including sales targets, investments and cost development, together with his/her colleagues for Commerce and for Finance.

As Managing Director, it is important to have a broad interest in all aspects of managing a company including fostering the company culture, managing human and financial risks, legal compliance and the public image of the company.

Qualifications:

•A university education with good knowledge of horticulture and agriculture. Master’s degree in related area will be an important plus.

•At least 15 years relevant experience ( at least 10 years at managerial level)

•People oriented leadership skills

•To be a team player, think in long-term processes,

•Active and practical approach,

•Orientated towards persevering and problem solving.

•Positive thinking and attitude

•Work experience in an international company

•Excellent command of both oral and written English
