OUR COMPANY: Nordic Hamburg Group is an international ship management company that has been on the market for over 15 years with its core business in the management of vessels' commercial activities. Our company has offices located in Hamburg, Odessa, and Singapore and has recently opened a new office in Istanbul, Turkey located in the Maltepe district with the goal of strengthening positions in the Turkish market. In this connection, our company is looking for motivated professionals to be hired for the position of Crewing Officer. 

Requirements:

•         effective communication skills both in oral and written English – level B1;
•         ability to work with different computer programs (Excel, Outlook);
•         you should be a quick learner and a good team player;
•         experience in shipping or crewing is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that Seafarers under Senior Crew Operator responsibility are adequately certified as per vessel flag requirements and company policies and guidelines.
• Assist with long term relief rotation and advance planning of seafarers.
• Ensure coordination/dialogue with Manning Offices to meet with the Crewing requirements of vessels including generating, sending and maintaining reports.
• Ensure coordination and effective handling of crew changes including the application of visas, flight arrangements, liaising with port agents and vessels to create the most efficient travel plan for seafarers embarking and disembarking vessels.
• Evaluate and log performance appraisals of sea staff to endorse promotion and required trainings/experience for career progression as well as to endorse any seafarers that require further training/evaluation to the Crew Operations Manager.
• Ensure the required briefings /de-briefings are arranged and conducted in accordance with company standards.
• Ensure that data quality in our systems and those required of NHSM customers are updated and valid at all times.
• Invoice checking and processing for services requested.
• Participate in the Duty Crew Operator rotational system.
• Promote effective, timely and close interaction between colleagues at sea & shore through continuous dialogue.
• Participate, when requested, in all Crewing activities and company/department projects.
• Coordinating work of Junior Crew Operators
• Teach and direct Apprentices and Junior Crew Operators
