 We have an exciting new role for a Gerber trained pattern maker to join their team. In this role you will be required to study blueprints and design models, create paper templates, and design the final pattern for the production.

What you will do…

•  Understanding Tech pack completely
  
• Joining the weekly production meeting, discuss product specification with merchandising and production team, and convert their original models of garments into patterns 
  
• Measuring, designing patterns in the material required
  
• Determine appropriate garment construction methods according to fabrics and styles
  
• Creating and grading the pattern as per the customer’s requirements given in the grading chart, double checking its dimensions and style
  
• Lead fit sessions and utilize technical expertise by offering suggestions to improve fit, resolve technical issues
  
• Make sure the outcomes of cutting and checking the measurements of the samples before mass production
  
• Determine the best layout of pattern pieces to minimize waste of material, and mark fabric accordingly.
  
• Proactively troubleshoot technical issues relating to pattern files with Global Merchandising, production and management team. 
  
• Draw outlines of pattern parts by adapting or copying existing patterns, or by drafting new patterns.

  You have…. 

• Experienced Gerber user
  
• Minimum Upper Intermediate Level English speaker 
  
• Expertise in patternmaking, grading, construction and fit for multiple or complex product 
  
• Detail oriented 
  
• Ability to work to a deadline
