İstanbul Grand Airport

The first phase of the Istanbul Airport, which is the largest infrastructure project in the history of the Turkish Republic, opened for service on October 29, 2018; since April 6th 2019, the airport is operational with all units and at full capacity. Covering an area of 76.5 million square meters, the new airport serves as a global hub between Asia, Africa and Europe.

Istanbul Airport is 35 kilometers away from the city center. The construction is planned to be completed in four phases, within the scope of the first phase, Istanbul Airport operates with five runways, 3 independent and two standby runways, a terminal building and air traffic control tower with a capacity to serve 90 million passengers. Once all phases of the airport are operational, it is expected that the facility to achieve a capacity of 200 million passengers. İGA mainly aims is making Istanbul Airport one of the most important hubs of the world.

Job Description

IGA airport management will be responsible for ensuring the maximum efficiency of CNS/ATM, A-SMGCS, and integrated systems within Airport Technical Services and ensuring the Coordination of the subcontractor and technical team, performing system checks at certain periods and all related work. They wıll also be responsible for design and application of new technologies to the airport systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer, Electrical/Electronics, Electronics and Communication Engineering),
• Knowledge about the aviation system,
• Knowledge of the ATC systems or open for improvement and concern to industry-related innovations,
• Good command of English is a must,
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation and technical writing)
• Analytical thinking and problem solving skills,
• Project management skills,
• Knowledge of  RF, Radar technologies,
•  Experience in solving software and network problems and knowledge in at least one programming language,
• Preferably knowledge on Cisco IOS configurations,
• Knowledge in using Microsoft programs, Linux and AutoCAD programs,
• Knowledge of configuration, application and management in Linux server/client operating systems,
• Experience in installation and configuration about the Linux Server,
•  Knowledge of the management and security of network components and connections,
• Knowledge and experience in Server/Storage operating systems, software and infrastructure technologies,
•  Knowledge of Router, Switch, TCP/IP, Security and Management products and experience in installation and management, VPN, IP, LAN, WAN, APN, BGP, Firewall
• Knowledge of  WAN communication protocols, LAN communication protocols, data communication network topologies, and knowledge of detecting network communication problems and producing solutions,
• Knowledge of  the management of L2/L3 network technology and devices,
• Knowledgeable in eliminate the findings in the Internal and External Audit Reports and to ability to establish and monitor a tracking system for this purpose.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the relevant technical documents for the projects or studies planned to be carried out within the scope of assignment and provide information and document support to the personnel responsible for the studies.
• Contribute to the regular execution of systems related to all functions within the scope of the task, to the design of new systems and to the development of existing systems.
• Evaluate the necessary information, reports, developments, and emerging problems regarding their responsibilities, informs the department managers, and takes the determined actions.
• CNS/ATM, A-SMGCS system status is observed and, necessary actions are taken to ensure that it is resolved to the malfunction.
• Ensure that the system maintenance and problems are completed in the shift that is responsible for working in shifts or normal working hours.
