Position Overview: The Cabin Crew Supervisor is responsible for the entire inspection of all areas in a cabin after the Cabin Crew Attendant has finished cleaning. The Cabin Crew Supervisor performs deep cleaning inspections, prepares work orders and conducts daily operations. The Cabin Crew Inspector ensures that the company meets all cleanliness and condition requirements. The role also involves developing and training Cabin Crew Attendants. All responsibilities shall be carried out in a timely, accurate, and professional manner, in accordance with YOTEL’s core values. Key Relationships: - Internal: Mission and Ground Control, Sales, Revenue, Housekeeping, Accounting, Maintenance, IT, Owner Representatives and YOTEL Home Office staff. - External: YOTEL guests/visitors, other hotel personnel and vendors/suppliers. Major Duties & Responsibilities: - Responsible for meeting cleanliness and condition requirements. - Record and keep track of inspection results. - Maintain cabins standards. - Inspect vacant cabins, VIP cabins, show cabins and public areas daily with above average attention to details to ensure that cleanliness meets hotel standards. - Continually seek to develop housekeeping policies and procedures to improve the current operation. - Inspect cabins both before arrival and upon departure to assess if damages have occurred. - Participates in controlling inventory, both linen/terry and cleaning supplies. - Primary contact between cabin crew and mission control to make sure cabins are ready for guests. - Help clean rooms as needed. - Ensure work orders are completed and closed out. - Perform deep cleaning inspections. - Assist in the training and development of all cabin crew members. - Monitor appliances, furniture, cabin supplies and general appearance of cabins to ensure all is up to hotel standards. - Monitor inventory of all housekeeping supplies ensuring that staff has the necessary supplies available to perform their assignments. - Monitor guest complaints as it pertains to cabin cleanliness and condition. - Review daily housekeeping reports. - Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Cabin Crew and Cabin Crew Manager. Skills/Qualifications: - High School diploma or equivalent. - Ability to read, speak and understand the English language. - At least two years’ experience in a housekeeping role. - Positive and friendly attitude towards guests, customers, and fellow Crew members. - Must be extremely detailed with very good communication skills. - Ability to multi-task multiple projects/duties at once. - Ability to follow directions both written and verbally. - Integrity to safeguard confidential information. - Ability to perform effectively under high pressure/volume, self-motivated, high energy and enthusiastic. - Initiative to work efficiently with minimal supervision. - Uphold the highest standards of YOTEL Istanbul New Airport and business culture. - Maintain a friendly & cohesive work environment with crew, internal departments & guests. Essential Physical Abilities: - Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, such as reaching, bending and stooping. - Ability to grasp, push or pull heavy loads, and lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, and boxes weighing up to 75 lbs. on occasion. - Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions. - Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property. - Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs. - Repetitive hand motion (typing) for extended periods of time. - Good physical resilience.
