Position Overview: Develop and implement successful small meetings activities and coordinate needs with clients. Assist in creating proposals and contracts for the Sales Department. Responsible for Corporate Group Market. Maintain existing business clientele relationships, ensuring maximum profitability for the hotel and quality service for our guests. Support the Director of Sales with sales efforts to reach the hotel’s financial goals. All responsibilities shall be carried out in a timely, accurate, and professional manner, in accordance with YOTEL’s core values. Key Relationships: - Internal: Mission and Ground Control, Sales, Revenue, Owner Representatives and YOTEL Home Office staff. - External: YOTEL guests/visitors, other hotel personnel and vendors/suppliers. Major Duties & Responsibilities: - Secure new business and maintain repeat bookings for Corporate Group Segment. - Represent brand at industry tradeshows, uncovering new business for all segments of hotel. - Partner with Turkey Travel Association, participating in feeder city trips local events. - Conduct tours, presentations and represent YOTEL Istanbul New Airport and assist team as needed. - Partner with team to ensure all group needs are met, encouraging repeat business. - Collaborate to create promotions for specific accounts and time periods. - Assist with annual group budget process. - Fluent with competitive set, ensuring that the hotel is competitively positioned within marketplace. - Attend weekly Revenue meetings and run sales meetings as needed. - Uncover new companies for potential partnership. - Actively sells and prospects 100% of the time. - Innovative, brainstorming for new ways to uncover and capture business. - Accountable for monthly, quarterly and annual revenue, room night, and ADR targets. - Pursues membership & networking in organizations outside of traditional hotel model. - Ensures contractual agreements are executed in a timely, and error-free manner. - Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing. Skills/Qualifications: - College degree in Hospitality or related field. - 1 to 3 years’ experience in sales. - Must have the ability to solicit, qualify and secure business in addition to growing existing accounts. - Thorough knowledge of major market segments. - Ability to identify market patterns and trends and lead change as needed to protect customer share. - Self-motivated, energetic and professionally passionate with excellent customer service. - Active participation in trade shows, familiarization trips, client entertainment and industry events. - Liaise with vendors and suppliers. - Ability to work a flexible schedule. - Ability to perform under pressure. - Excellent presentation, communication, organization and computer skill. - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, HTML and Photoshop. - Willingness to learn and adapt with dynamic environment. - Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. - Conduct one-self in a professional, pleasant and energetic manner. - Uphold the highest standards of YOTEL Istanbul Airport and business culture. - Maintain a friendly & cohesive work environment with crew, internal departments & guests. Essential Physical Abilities: - Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, such as reaching, bending and stooping. - Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions. - Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property. - Repetitive hand motion (typing) for extended periods of time.
