FOOD & BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR - YOTEL ISTANBUL GRAND AIRPORT

İstanbul Airport City, located at the İstanbul New Airport project, is a globally unique urban development project located near the airport within the boundaries of the expropriation area.
İstanbul Airport City will be built to perfection with a 10 million square meter area to be a reference point for the cities of future airports around the world.

YOTEL & YOTELAIR Istanbul Airport, will operate with 451 cabins with super comfy adjustable queen size Smart Bed, work desk and a techno wall with mood lighting and HD Smart TV. There is rain shower and heated towel rock in all the cabins. There will generous Food & Beverage facilities namely a Club Lounge, Restaurant and Grab & Go 7/24 at the service of our guests. Meeting rooms will be the new center of the meetings with no need to go the city and also there is a Fitness Room, Sauna and Hammam facilities for our guests to enjoy the long time between the flights and feel no stress.

Skills and qualifications we are looking for:
- Requires 3-5 or more years of experience as a supervisor or unit-level manager in high volume and/or multi-unit Food and Beverage or Merchandise operations or other related management experience
- Must have knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations.
- Long hours sometimes required.
- Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet tight deadlines.
- Solid problem-solving and business acumen skills.
- Able to manage multitask work in a strong-paced environment.
- Ability to mentor and supervise staff.
- Able to work alone on a broad variety of projects.
- Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work.
- Must be familiar with Word, Excel, Email and the Internet.
- Inspiring team leader focused on delivery of great customer service
- Has an excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Is flexible and able to adapt to changing situations, needs and priorities of guests & crew members.

İŞ TANIMI

Position Overview:
Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for bringing to life, creating, and evolving the YOTEL Food & Beverage Concept by coordinating, supervising and directing all property beverage and food operations, while maintaining a profitable Beverage & Food department and high-quality products and service levels.  Assist and support the Director of Beverage & Food with market ideas to promote business; reduce employee turnover; maintain revenue and payroll budgets; and meet budgeted productivity while keeping quality consistently high.
Key Relationships:
- Internal: Mission and Ground Control, Sales, Revenue, Housekeeping, Accounting, Maintenance, IT, Owner Representatives and YOTEL Home Office staff.
- External: YOTEL guests/visitors, other hotel personnel and vendors/suppliers.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Bringing to life, creating, and evolving the YOTEL Food & Beverage Concept.
- Must be an “out of the box” thinker.  Bringing to life the YOTEL Beverage & Food concept.

- Fully understand and present the YOTEL culture to our crew members is vital to the success of this role.
- Employees must, always, be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
- Interview crew candidates, provide recommendations for hiring, terminations, advancement, promotion or any other status change of crew members within the YOTEL.
- Supervise all F&B personnel.
- Assign work tasks and activities, prepares schedules, and ensures that all shifts are covered.
- Prepare daily orders, ensures units are stocked with appropriate levels of product.
- Conduct and coordinates on-the-job training for associates, and ensures all associates receive basic skills training to perform their jobs.
- Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner.
- Assist in the monitoring of industry trends, take appropriate action to maintain competitive and profitable operations.
- Coordinate and monitor all phases of Loss Prevention in the B&F department.
- Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.
- Organize and conduct department meetings on a regular basis.
- Monitor quality of service and product.
- Cooperate in menu planning and preparation.
- Ensure timely purchase of B&F items, within budget allocation.
- Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure departmental compliance with SOP’s.
- Ensure the training of department heads on SOP’s, report preparation, technical job tasks.
- Interview candidates for front & back of house B&F positions and follow standards for hiring approvals.
- Conduct and/or attend all required meetings, including pre-convention and post-convention meetings.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Essential Physical Abilities:
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, such as reaching, bending and stooping.

- Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property.
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive hand motion (typing) for extended periods of time.
