Solar Design Engineer

İltekno is seeking for a Solar Design Engineer ! Solar Design Engineer duties will include support of potential solar power plant projects. Candidate must be able to successfully assist with preparation of plans and applicable specifications and must be able to interface with, and provide general project support to, senior project professionals.

Responsibilities

• Determinate customer requirements for potential PV projects,
• According to customer requirements establish conceptual design for PV solar projects,
• Research and select system components including panels, inverters, and other necessary components,
• Prepare conceptual site layout drawings and system single-line diagrams in Autocad,
• Basic analyze and simulate PV project energy production in PVSyst and PVSol programs;
• Develop customer feasibility/avoided cost reports (BoQ) as required, in the prepare of technical RFP/RFQ proposals,
• Calculate, prepare required documents and final design for existing projects,
• Approve final designs by the customer and relevant authority(EDAŞ, TEDAŞ),
• Work with Electrical Project Manager or Project Development Manager, and Project Engineers to assemble RFP/RFQ proposals including, technical writing, project scope and pricing, interview presentations,
• Work directly with customer representatives throughout the project development process to resolve issues and maintain the project schedule,
• Strengthen knowledge of solar and photovoltaic systems industry, structure, trends, issues to ensure full understanding of customer business objectives and requirements,
• Understand and comply with the İltekno’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards,

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree / Master’s in Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Energy Systems Engineering or relevant discipline,
• 3+ years of direct Project experience, preferably in utility scale solar development, utility infrastructure or construction industry projects,
• Experience in solar PV Grid-Tie installation projects for commercial and industrial customers,
• Excellent verbal, written, technical, and computer communication and presentation skills required,
• Team player to work in concert with the development team, finance team and engineering and procurement teams,

Specifications

• Proficient in the PVSol, PVsys, Sketchup, Skelion (Sketchup extension), AutoCAD, Microsoft Office,
• Experience of dealing with complex tenders,
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office,
• Must be willing to potentially travel to abroad or out-of-town for site visits and meetings,
• Having class B driving licences,
• Good command of English both written and spoken,
