Project Engineer (Mechanical)

An opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer (Mechanical) to work for office and field within the Project Management Department of our company.

Requirements:

• Bachelor and/or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering,
• 5 to 10 years’ of relevant experience in engineering, project management and execution of oil & gas projects,
• Minimum of 5 years proven capability in an engineering design/project management company (with mechanical and piping background),
• Proven track record of managing projects with Design, Engineering & Construction Management functions in particular,
• PMC experience of leading a team desirable,
• Sound technical and practical performance of overall piping, layout and 3D model/ engineering design,
• Engineering design, safety in design, inter-disciplinary interfaces, installation experience,
• Expert proficiency to review piping engineering deliverables such as specifications, Piping Wall thickness Calculations, Line list, Valve Data Sheets, Stress Analysis reports and procurement deliverables such as Enquiry requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations, Purchase requisition and Vendor Data Review for Piping items,
• Good knowledge of legislative requirements for onshore and offshore materials management,
• Understanding Contracts scopes, HSE regulations and construction standards, equipment application,
• Hands-on experience in dealing with technical issues and providing solutions,
• Excellent command of English both written and spoken,
• Good knowledge of application technology / software,
• Able to travel frequently both domestic and abroad,
• Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred

Job Description:

• Assist with development, planning and coordination of engineering designs entailing technical specifications and detailed planning to meet Project and Client requirements,
• Coordinate with engineering on constructability and design issues relating to the mechanical discipline and/or the piping discipline such as mechanical equipment installation, piping installation, maintenance, and testing,
• Responsible for the delivery, technical quality, integrity and adequacy of design engineering work as well as ensuring the design can be constructed in a safe, efficient and economic manner,
• Responsible for providing supervision and technical guidance, methodologies, procedures, standards and quality control to meet the needs of the Project Execution Plan,
• Provide technical assistance, direction, and support during the construction and installation activities,
• Provide practical engineering support to the construction/commissioning phases of projects,
• Identifying risk in installation process as well as perform review of materials compliance,
• Control and comment on supplier information and assist with specification and ordering of materials and equipment, and inspection and testing activities,
• Provide technical direction during the conduct of troubleshooting,
• Follow sound environment health and safety practices ,
• Follow and promote company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures, and ensuring personal safety and that of colleagues at all times,
