Technical Purchasing Engineer

Imbat is a company with 30 years of experience in climatization systems production. Imbat is looking to expand its organization by hiring a technical purchasing engineer

 Job qualifications:

• Experience in an engineering (Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering), procurement and operations
• Must have fluent English
• Must have ERP knowledge (Canias is preferable)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with personal computers and networking, specifically Microsoft Excel, ERP systems
• Ability to analyze bills of material and drawings to understand key requirements
• Knowledge and direct experience in negotiating contracts and quotations with Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers
• Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities

Job description:

• Represent the purchasing function to all related projects
• Investigate market, search and conduct supplier assessments for potential new suppliers
• Plan and develop reliable/intact supplier base for best Quality, Cost and Delivery
• Comprehensively understand both our products and suppliers, select  both optimum-cost-effective suppliers during MOB (Make or Buy) Meetings
• Conduct purchasing process on materials of responsibility
• Develop supplier readiness, part quality, sourcing strategies and detailed timing plan for each purchased component
• Gather and analyze supplier data, to lead analysis and negotiation for supplier selection
• Closely communicate with both internal (cross functions) and external (suppliers) teams on any changes, concerns and status follow-up
• Support production line on material cost continuous improvement based on cost saving target
• Closely follow up other tasks that will be assigned by department manager
