INTEC ENERGY – QHSE Engineer

With a foundation of Germany-based solar power plant planning and implementation, our specialized team works with clients across the globe to use energy produced by solar power systems to improve all aspects of life. As an international company we are looking for a QHSE Engineer.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field from a reputable university
• At least 3 years of HSE and QA/QC experience in solar or other industrial power plant construction projects
• Proven knowledge and experience in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 standards
• Having an internal auditor certificate is an asset
• B or C Class Occupational Health and Safety Specialist Certificate
• Preferably NEBOSH or equivalent international certificates
• Very good notion of international HSE regulations and norms
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Ability to use a variety of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) programmes
• Being an excellent team player, as well as being able to work individually
• Result-oriented and multi-tasking with good time management skills
• No travel restriction

Duties:

• Independently plans and carries out assignments in line with accepted HSE and QA-QC policies and practices
• Identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant industry safety practices
• Establishing, implementing and maintaining the integrated management system in accordance with ISO 9001 and other applicable international standards as well as company's quality policy
• Promote safe working environment attitudes among all staff
• Implement the QA/QC management system at sites
• Develop and implement safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions
• Participate periodical and ad-hoc safety meetings
• Advise Project and Site Managers of needs for improvements in procedures, training, information materials and/or equipment, etc.
• Monitoring and reporting about the performance of the integrated management system and any need for improvement
• Operating the Document Control System
• Perform routine surveillance, inspection, monitoring, auditing and assurance of subcontractor’s site activities in accordance with the projects and contractors, specifications, ITP and quality plans
• Organizes and manages all the HSE and Quality related topics and keeps the records accordingly
• Provides technical control for Permit to Work (PTW) systems
• Proposes and follows the HSE and Quality action plan with the site team, execute work permits and supervision
• Ensures that periodical HSE measurement and monitoring activities as per local legislation and internal regulations are performed
• Monitors and controls subcontractor's HSE performance and conducts periodic HSE meetings on-site
• Trains and coaches site staff according to the internal HSE instructions
