Job description
- Identifying any additional secondary spend opportunities with potentials to increase commercial revenue as well as improve visitors’s experience.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and motivational skills leading, managing and developing the team which has actively helped recruiting in the first place.
- Ensuring excellent guest service at all times, working to guest service standards as set by the Mystery Guest criteria.
- Recruit, Manage and Develop Retail, & Food and Beverage Teams
- Achieve set SPH, Cost of Sales Margin and Stock Provision for all above areas.
- Responsible for a safe and hygienic catering outlet within the attraction.
- Ensure smooth running of daily operation, highlighting any issues to the General Manager.
- Ensuring mystery shop and KPI standards are adhered to at all times.
- Manage all costs related to labour, shrinkage, stock loss ensuring these are maintained to a minimum level
- Consistently looking at ways to improve sales and stock control.
- Challenge retail team with sales and host attitudes to improve the revenue and guest service.
- Ensuring communication within with the management team and retail/photography department is flowing freely at all times.
- Manage relationship with suppliers to ensure that all deliveries are completed to the highest standards possible, as well as adhering to all Health and Safety policies.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Educated to degree level or professional qualification equivalent
- Retail and commercial experience
- A clear understanding of the local market, with a particular focus on children and parents, competitors, hospitality and travel trade environment is also essential to the success of this role
- The ability to network and influence across the leisure, tourism and business sectors
