Recent projects include the completion of piping works of several process units and the turnkey delivery of storage tanks in STAR Refinery. ViTO Group was founded by a group of entrepreneurs and investors that successfully completed numerous projects for public and private sector companies since 1990. Today, ViTO Group employs more than 700 staff, of which 10% have a technical background. We are looking for a highly motivated “Mechanical Workshop Manager” to strengthen our Technical Office in İstanbul.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from mechanical engineering departments of reputable universities,
• Minimum 10 years of workshop experience on manufacturing of steel structures, pressure vessels, pipe spool fabrication,
• Advanced skills of respective standards, code and procedures,
• Advanced computer skills including MS Office Applications,
• Being agile, responsive and good under pressure,
• Being able to handle conflict and resolve differences of opinion,
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken,
• Excellent written and verbal communication and persuasive skills,
• Problem solver, analytical thinking, with an ability to query and research,
• Team player, result-oriented with strong planning and organization skills,
• Excellent time management skills, rigorous and detail-oriented,
• Being flexible in working hours and have no travel restrictions,
• For male candidates, military service must be completed.

Tasks

• Managing and supervising of all workshop activities,
• Managing mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications, procedures and methods,
• Managing efficient manufacturing of product by necessary organization and testing methods and properties,
• Developing manufacturing processes by workflow for fabricating, welding, assembling, and installing components,
• Assuring system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and system capabilities; and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes,
• Preparing product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information,
• Maintaining system and product data base by the computer programs,
• Completing projects by training and guiding technicians,
• Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed,
• Managing and following up on actual progress of each job,
• Being responsible for reliability by providing all fields with the technical assistance that they require from the workshop,
• Supervising the implementation of 5S and other HSE standards.
