What you will do

Demand Planner & Logistics Coordinator is a key role, reporting to the Operations Manager in Istanbul and facilitates the cost-effective flow of materials and products from suppliers to customers through the manufacturing and distribution network in accordance with company policies and also initiates purchasing orders to the related factories, follows up the most efficient way of forwarding and result the delivery of the goods to the warehouse.

This Demand Planning position is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products in the country. The Demand Planner creates and maintains sales and purchasing forecast models, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from local sales organization.

The position is the talent pool for the Senior Demand Planner and Demand Planning Manager positions within the organization.

The Demand Planner is the integration point into the sales and commercial organization and acts as interface with local 3PLs and manufacturing sites to ensure continuous and fluent communication of product needs, follow up of deliveries from factories to local warehouses and drop ships to customers.

 
How you will do it

 As a Demand Planner & Logistics Coordinator, you will develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts); review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, interact with sales, marketing and local demand planners and evaluate forecast results; coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions; use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.

You will acts as main contact point for JCH factories ensuring correct cadence and communication flow is achieved in a successful manner and Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products and product phase-outs as well as to drive procurement optimization and efficiencies through the business in line with European and regional initiatives. You will facilitate and monitor supply chain operations and effective distribution of products ensuring that all logistic aspects are working together to fill orders and deliver materials on a timely basis, manage day to day activities related to procurement of goods from factories and inventory management in support of country operations and oversee cycle of order fulfilment end to end.

You will also closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning; support the development and maintenance of the sourcing metrics and scorecards, based on analysis of reports and consolidated data; monitor sourcing KPI’s and drive them into actions;  help achieve Supply Chain objectives; support the strategic goal to improve Trade Working Capital (TWC) performance by extracting reports, identify gaps between targets & actuals and support follow-up of improvement plans.
 

What we look for

 Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or other relevant fields
• 5 years of experience in Demand Planning / SCM department of a large company
• Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
• Strong analytical, organizational, decision making and presentation skills
• Capability to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process
• Good facilitation skills
• Fluent professional English level

Preferred

• Knowledge of software related to demand planning is preferred
