What you will do

The Finance Manager is a key role reporting to Senior Director Finance MEA in Dubai and acts as an executive Finance Business Partner to the assigned LOB leadership team providing continuous coaching in multi-discipline finance policies & processes and will be based in our Istanbul Office.

You will support and contribute to the design and implementation of key business decisions & projects through pro-actively advising and engaging with the assigned LOB leadership team on all Finance matters; run readiness and feasibility checks with the appropriate COE departments & in-country finance organization; interact regularly with regional financial management to consolidate and analyze quarterly forecasts and two year plans, five year Strategic Plans; analyze monthly financial results and establish & measure key financial targets.

You will work within a vibrant environment that provides a platform for you to use your leadership experience coupled with your technical knowledge of overall finance within Turkey & Caspian Region. This role requires cross functional coordination and leadership of the different growth initiatives driven by the organization.

 
How you will do it

As a Finance Manager, you will prepare, analyze and review quarterly rolling forecasts and annual financial plans, analyze and review actual monthly financial performance, instinctively recognize inconsistencies in financial data and initiate and manage the appropriate corrective action; review the evaluation and justification of strategic initiatives as needed; acting in a consulting role, demonstrate understanding of the financial analysis process and apply that knowledge to developing cost effective analyses and recommendations to the global management team. 

The position will have the responsibility of managing multiple projects within a broader program and ensuring execution and alignment. The key focus for the position will be ensuring financial management of the different growth initiatives impacting Turkey & Caspian organization, managing the deliverables and providing overall support throughout the different growth improvement initiatives.

You will maintain dialogue with management and regional financial personnel to identify and evaluate evolving business issues; manage special studies and analyse on an independent basis; prepare/review presentations for the team sent to Corporate for the Executive Team comprising of actual results, forecasts, industry views, operating results etc; work with GM, Branch Managers, Directors to establish department budgets and quarterly forecasts for expenses, capital spending and headcount; responsible for ensuring timeliness of global deliverables to Turkey & Caspian organization, including strategic plan, annual profit plan, quarterly forecasts and presentations; review accuracy of balance sheet, cash flow and financial metric trends to ensure accuracy and potential gaps.

You will also coordinate planning and forecasting processes, timing and assumptions within the organization including establishing top-down commitments based on key assumptions; lead all FP&A activities in association with the growth initiatives and make sure it’s in line with the FSP Plans and Forecasts; coordinate and consolidate Operating Review packages for the Management Team; provide oversight and manage SG&A spending cost centers and performance for the global management team and review SG&A spending with leadership team.

You will also be expected to provide leadership and direction in the tracking and monitoring of the committed savings; facilitate the review of key initiatives with senior leadership, support and coach initiatives’ owners and ad-hoc assignments from the LOB’s; set goals and performance reviews for all direct reports; manage key stakeholders and incorporate feedback for continual improvement of program management.

What we look for

Required

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Finance with a MBA or CPA preferred
• Minimum 10-12 years of progressive financial experience in a multinational business
• Managerial experience of teams of 3-4 required
• Excellent communications skills, including significant experience in written and oral reports and presentations to high-level management
• Should have ability to listen effectively, evaluate the most critical elements being communicated and communicate with team and Director on an open and timely basis
• Proven ability to build and lead integrated teams from various internal and external organizations across geographies
• Effective consultative and influencing approach
• Willing and able to challenge customers and stakeholders to better understand their needs
• Ability to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks that are required to lead change
• Ability to translate broad general concepts into tangible deliverables
• Ability for independent decision making, and to assume higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situations
