QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering related management role
- Top skillsets required are Catia or NX CAD&CAM, Project Management tools, MS Excel,
- Deep understanding of CNC Machining, Cutting tool technologies, Sheet metal manufacturing, Assembly, New Part Introduction, Process Design
- Thorough understanding of Capital/Expense budgeting with planned project cash flow and financial project analysis.
- Good level of English language
JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate is a highly knowledgeable people and technical leader who has direct hands-on experience in working manufacturing environments and developing production systems, from initial process concept through FAI approval and serial production,
- Manage Process Engineers, Method Engineers and NC Programming department through the preparation of detailed project plans
- Direct and coordinate engineering resources to complete engineering tasks on time to comply with development and production machining schedules
- Hire, train and mentor engineers, technicians and support staff to work to their full potential.
- Maintain department quality and performance metrics.
- Develop tools, processes, machines and equipment to integrate the processes and systems for producing quality product with the optimum expenditure of capital.
- Develop long-term strategy on engineering capability and capacity for new product introductions.
- Eliminate / overcome process barriers that prevent continuous improvement and enhanced customer value.
- Investigate, analyze and recommend new and/or alternate equipment and manufacturing methods
- Solve engineering and process issues, perform root cause analyses when non-conformances and escapes are identified and deploy corrective actions
- Apply robust, consistent, and reliable engineering fundamentals and processes to ensure the highest quality of manufacturing engineering
- Identify, develop, and deploy new manufacturing methods (or refine existing) to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build schedule
- To ensure infrastructure of the department are kept up-to-date at industry standards.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Prepares and implements the departmental budget.
- Direct and implement all manufacturing technical procedures and requirements.
