Powerships have a range of 30 MW to 470 MW and are delivered ready to operate in less than 60 days. Currently, Karpowership owns and operates 22 Powerships with an installed capacity exceeding 3,500 MW and another 5,000 MW are under construction or in the pipeline. In addition to a Powership fleet, Karpowership owns and operates its own LNG fleet. With expertise and experience in the field, Karpowership serves as a one-stop-shop for LNG to Power solutions, as a single provider delivering all parts of the value chain; including but not limited to LNG sourcing, transport, delivery, regasification, and electricity production; with the mission of powering life wherever needed. To be employed within Commissioning and Technical Operations department, we are looking for a “Project Engineer” with the following qualifications;

• Bachelor’s degree in Machine, Electrical & Electronics, Industry or related engineering departments,
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Project or Operations Management processes,
• Excellent written and spoken English and German,
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office Programs,
• Strong communication and follow up skills, team player, analytical, dynamic, result oriented profile,
• Able to work flexible hours,
• No travel restriction,
• No military obligation for male candidates. 

Responsibilities

Under the main heading of commissioning and operations / conversion management of Powership Projects; she/he will be responsible for the execution of the following processes.

• Ensure the optimum results for productivity and cost by commissioning tests during the commissioning period
• Ensure the technical coordination during commissioning
• Communication Management with Shipyard and Design Group to execute Maintenance/Conversion activities
• Approvals of any changes required on all Powerships in coordination with design group
• Inform and support Investment Group about the changes required on all Powerships in investment phase
• Communication with Design/Investment group about operational feedbacks
• Supporting Powership Plants with expertise in different disciplines such as electrical, I&C, mechanical
• Major Maintenances project management for all Powerships
• Major Failures project management for all Powerships
• Initial requirements (fix asset, spares, consumables..) of Powerships
• Spare Part management about critical parts for all Powerships,
• Perform root cause analysis in major failures and needs detected during major maintenances, coordination with the relevant suppliers for the solution of the problems, inform and guide the related group,
• Manage and report the commissioning processes with main machine suppliers in Powership investment projects,
• Define the commissioning tests and acceptance criteria together with the O&M team and performs the tests,
• Conduct all necessary commissioning, actual control, testing, measurement works for the realization of the powership construction process in accordance with international standards and contract criteria,
• Support for Internal Auditing and Assessments,
• Support suggestion system.
