QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Koç University will be hiring a Human Resources Specialist / Assistant Specialist with the below mentioned qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Labour Economics and Industrial Relations or Engineering
Skills
- Demonstrable competencies such as planning and organization, diligent and accurate work, being analytic and result oriented
- Self-motivation and positive attitude with high level of energy
- Flexible with ability to manage uncertainty and to cope with stress
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic work-environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Turkish and English
- Clear in communicating procedures, thoughts and ideas at all levels
- Strong presentation skills
- Attentive to deadlines with a high level of relationship focus with involved parties
- Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis, with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
Technical knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications and data management skills
- Preferably knowledge of SAP HR module
- Knowledge and experience of work agreement/contract management is a plus
- Knowledge of compensation and benefits administration is a plus
- Knowledge of process improvement and project management methods is a plus
- Overall understanding of the core HR processes and hands on HR experience in complex organizations is a plus

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Support decision making with accurate reporting and analysis (budget, headcount, adhoc reports)
- Improving the scope and the quality of reports and generating new reports that will serve HR strategies
- Giving all the necessary support for HR infrastructure and database systems
- Actively contributing to the improvement of all HR activities and processes
- Actively contributing to the preparation of personnel budget, performance evaluation and salary increase processes
Responsible for
- carrying out the operations of academic life cycle processes in line with internal procedures,
- conducting and tracking the work agreement/contract processes of the academic employee life cycle
- ensuring the communication with internal and external units regarding the academic employee life cycle
- managing, controlling and updating the organizational data in the HR systems
- analyzing and reporting employee engagement and HR satisfaction surveys,
- updating and publishing procedures, carrying out process improvement studies
Support decision making with accurate reporting and analysis
- generate headcount, budget and adhoc reports
- monitor, develop and report HR metrics
Actively contributing to
- preparation of personnel budget and headcount planning processes
- compensation & benefits processes (annual compensation review and salary increase processes, execution of flexible benefits program)
- improvement of all HR activities and processes
