Learning Experience Designer

Koç University will be hiring a Learning Experience Designer for Koç University Office of Learning and Teaching (KOLT). As an academic unit of the university, KOLT was established to provide support to the faculty, instructors, teaching assistants and students in pursuit of excellence in education. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Master's or bachelor’s degree in related fields (Psychology, Educational Sciences, etc.) from a reputable university
• At least three years of professional experience in educational institutions, preferably in higher education. Being knowledgeable about the university procedures is an asset
• Demonstrated organizational and problem solving skills, and ability to prioritize multiple projects, ability to track progress on multiple tasks with minimal or no supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and spoken) in Turkish and in English, with faculty, students, staff, and all levels of administration
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to act as a role model to the students, teaching assistants, and tutors
• Tech - savvy and professional use of Microsoft applications (esp. advanced use of Excel)
• Ability to learn new digital tools and platforms
• Knowledge of statistical data analysis
• No military obligation for male candidates
• Flexibility in work schedule as needed

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Working in coordination with other members of the KOLT to organize the weekly, monthly, and yearly program of students support services,
• Developing training programs for the students, tutors and teaching assistants,
• Communicating with students and faculty members to identify diverse learning needs of the students,
• Interacting with individual students who have academic difficulties, and designing learning programs for them,
• Keeping records of KOLT activities and writing reports,
• Coordinating daily administrative tasks (organizing meetings and KOLT events, responding to e-mails, communicating with other administrative units, etc.),
• Conducting research to identify recent issues, trends and innovations in teaching and learning in higher education.
