"WE are seeking a Compensation & Benefits and Employee Relation Specialist to reinforce our Industrial Relations and Administrative Affairs Management Team.''

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience,
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience in Compensation& Benefits in a Manufacturing Site and/or Operational Plant,
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and lead by influence,
• Experience conducting investigations, anticipating issues, problem solving and implementing solutions,
• Demonstrated ability to lead and implement HR processes and client focused solutions,
• Experience in working in a union environment,
• Experience in subcontracting agreements, contracts and relations are asset,
• Excellent command of both speaking and writing in English.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Conducts Compensation & Benefits policies and processes,
• Conducts annual salary studies,
• Manages Manager level below Pay Raise and Salary Adjustment & Job Offers in line with GL HR,
• Responsible and accountable to determine the terms of employment for the new hires , the salary increases, etc.
• Implements benefit programs/benefit package,
• Conducts or buys market analysis related to Compensation & Benefits,
• Conducts salary and labor market research to define benchmarks,
• Prepares TR HR Budget,
• Prepares reports related to HR Budget (e.g. actual vs. planned, best estimates, etc.)
• Consults with business managers and supervisors to interpret and provide strategic partnership to create solutions in complex employee experience, employee relations and labor relations policies, programs and processes,
• Being responsible for recruitment, performance processes of blue collar employees, 
• Conducts investigations concerning employee/management inquiries and employee suggestions and/or complaints,
• Helps prepare audits, reporting and compliance reviews pertaining to local regulations and programs,
• Builds and maintains key internal and external relationships, which may include business leaders, industry contacts, employees and union representatives.
