QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Qualifications

  • 2 years minimum of previous experience in Purchasing,
  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field preferred),
  • Fluency in spoken and written English,
  • Very good overall computer skills (MS Office, focus on Excel),
  • Strong analytical skills, multitasking, excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Knowledge of tendering platforms,
  • Ability to effectively prioritize; work on multiple projects and requests concurrently,
  • Ability to identify and gather total costs and evaluate cost impact of various alternatives,
  • Ability to utilize and interpret contracts and other pricing-related documents,
  • General knowledge of market, national transportation system and commercial practices for transportation services.

 

Job Description

  • Execution of tender activities for the global logistics unit,
  • Improve the supplier pool by conducting supplier research and supplier competency assessment,
  •  Prepare tender technical specifications (RFI / RFQ) and other necessary tender documents,
  • Leading the tender management and bid evaluation process,
  • Organizing strategic meetings with suppliers and conducting the negotiation process at the proposal stage,
  • Execute the supplier contracting process and communicate with the supplier all the process.
  • Take part in the implementation process within the scope of supplier change and to support the SOP creation process,
  • Follow the logistics purchasing budget and make offers in line with the budget, Establishing the supplier SLA and monitoring the SLA compliance performance of the suppliers,
  •  Optimizing the purchasing process and contributing to the global logistics purchasing strategy.
  •  Stay informed about the transportation industry, market trends, supply-demand changes, supplier base, regulatory changes,
  •  Identify potential new 3PL and perform due diligence to qualify them,
  • Negotiate rates and contracts,
  •  Conduct bids with supervision to include management of contract approval and signature process.
