Transportation Executive

KOTON

• A minimum of 5 years related professional experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related field
• Previous knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Background in Six Sigma production techniques.
• Transportation analytics and modeling expertise: route optimization, load forecasting
• Familiarity with route optimization software is a plus.

İŞ TANIMI

Transportation Executive is responsible for coordinating and supervising all functions relating to movement of outbound freight, maintaining prescribed service levels while keeping costs at a minimum, and training and supervising those in the Transportation Department to ensure meeting departmental and corporate objectives.

• Manages carrier relations activities of third party carriers to achieve efficient, reliable, and cost-effective transportation solutions.
• Analyzes carrier operations and service performance, to ensure contracted service level agreements are being met; decisively develops plans for any gaps in performance.
• Directs the daily operation of transportation network to ensure efficient and effective practices are utilized, productivity is optimized, and positive employee relations are maintained.
• Works in close cooperation with peers and across multiple functions such as Distribution, Logistics, and Sales to maximize efficiencies within the organization
• Apply sound communication and motivational techniques for supervising, coaching, and disciplining personnel
• Follows all safety policies and procedures; communicates hazards and/or suggests improvements to manager. Ensures a safe work environment for the team.
