·        The purpose of the Production team is to ensure that all current and potential vendors supplying Kingfisher have the production capacity and technological capability to deliver on time in full and to the correct quality specifications per product.

Ensuring vendors are suitable for supplying Kingfisher by:

·        Gain in-depth knowledge of the value chain in creating a kingfisher product. From raw materials to delivering to store

·        Research and explore the technologies used to manufacture

·        Support and advise the unique design team to ensure products are designed for manufacture

·        Prepare cost break down in suppliers and estimates the buying price of the existing and new products

·        Upgrade of current, and the development of new equipment and processes including tooling, jigs and fixtures

Strategically develop and improve vendors with the aim of driving sustainable CPR and improving vendor’s operational efficiency. This includes:

·        Build and facilitate multi-disciplinary short and long term lean activities in suppliers

·        Observe and define all wastes in manufacturing and develops solutions to eliminate waste

·        Machinery planning (line and layout planning, workplace ergonomics)

·        Support layout changes for efficient resource utilisation

·        Reduce wastes in production lines

·        Implement and follow up efficiency (lean) projects I suppliers

·        Create kaizen events in suppliers

·        Design layout of equipment, workspace, and optimal material flow routes for maximum efficiency

·        Application of a wide range of process improvement tools to identify and eliminate waste

·        Create work environment focusing on continuous improvement and size opportunities in order to increase effectiveness and efficiency of processes for development (e.g. create a culture of Zero Defect, First Time Right production, etc.)

·        Optimisation of all processes in suppliers

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Technical requirements

·        Experience in production and implementing lean activities

·        Experience in forecasting and introducing new products into production

·        Preferably have the knowledge of process control such PFMEA, CPK etc

·        Preferably degree level in Engineering

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

·        Experience in home appliances, plastic injection and/or metal industries linked with sinks, shelves, doors, fencing etc.

·        High level of manufacturing knowledge and understanding cost bases of products

·        Good understanding of Project management

·        Strong performance in capacity verification/assessment

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION:

40%-50% of time will be travelling across Turkey and across Europe
