Import Operations Specialist

In addition to yeast, we also provide baking solutions like bread improvers, bread mixes, and blends to bakery sector. The products that we produce are used with confidence in more than 80 countries, including Turkey.

We are looking for our new “Import Operations Specialist” team member, who will work with us at our Lesaffre Turquie Headquarter, located in Kozyatağı,İstanbul.

What we expect:

·       Bachelor's Degree from Economics and Administrative Sciences, Engineering, International Trade, Logistics and/or relevant departments of universities,

·       Minimum 3 years of experience in importation processes, preferably in production companies and for foodstuff goods,

·       Proven experience on Incoterms, internatonal payment terms and inward processing authorization certificate (IPRC),

·       Knowledge of Turkey Customs import/export tariff coding, regulations and international shipping processes,

·       Strong communication skills with a result-oriented approach,

·       Advanced level of written and verbal English,

·       Active use of MS Office tools and SAP,

·       Completed military service for male candidates.

What we will accomplish:

·       Consolidating the importation needs; initializing and following the international purchasing process,

·       Managing suppliers and supporting customers in terms of importation process,

·       Opening import files, production of internal documentation, updating import statuses, assisting and advising customers of arrival, arranging deliveries. Updating our tracking system on SAP,

·       Coordinating with shippers, truckers and offices for the importation of shipments,

·       Agreeing and directing the logistic suppliers to ensure right-on-time delivery, following the customs process including both international and domestic transportation in accordance with Turkey customs legislation.
