Procurement Specialist

• University degree in a related discipline required,
• 2-3 years of procurement experience in a corporate environment
• Mining experience is plus,
• Excellent command of English both written and verbal,
• Self-disciplined and self-starter,
• Effective communication and presentation skills at all levels,
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities,
• Good command of MS Office Applications, SAP knowledge is plus,
• Current valid driver license,
• Able to travel when required,
• Willing to live in Balıkesir-Bigadiç,
• For male candidates military service should be completed.

Job Description:

• Maximize the benefits of the contracts and supplier partnerships,
• Prepare and conduct contract and price negotiations with suppliers for medium to large volumes to contribute to the profitability of the company,
• Source and procure goods and services on behalf of the organization from partnered and suppliers,
• Ensure all the purchases meet specifications, pricing and quality, are delivered on time, in full and accurately invoiced against the approved purchase order,
• Create purchase orders for the acquisition of materials,
• Verify costs are in line with any agreed pricing schedule of rates
• Compile purchase order data reports,
• Prepare, implement and follow up monthly use of tracking sheets,
• Report in metrics to the procurement team and their respective stakeholders,
• Maintain existing documentation and records of invoices and information about vendors up to date on the system,
• Research, interview and negotiate with suppliers to obtain better prices and specifications.
• Provide routine administrative support,
• Ensure procurement procedures have been implemented and adhered to,
• Ensure all goods and services sourced and delivered from contracted suppliers meet the quality and fixed contracted pricing,
• Ensure the orders and procurements are accurately documented and recorded,
• Conduct comparative analysis on supplier prices.
