Limagrain is looking for candidates to join a highly motivated team to its Research Department for a Research Associate – Trials

Qualifications

1.     Job location is in Thrace region

2.     Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy

3.     Knowledge of  trial management

4.     Minimum 2 years experience in the domain

5.     Ability to plan and organise under own initiative, motivate others within a team and have a flexible work approach including outside normal hours

6.     Familiarity with MS Office or similar

7.     Ability to facilitate complex problem solving through good organization, management skill, written and verbal communication

8.     B class driving licence with a good driving skills, flexible for domestic and abroad trips

9.     Flexible for intensive work hours

10.Good command of both written and spoken english

Reponsibilities

·      Overall responsibility for the tracking of the seed shipments to her/his area.

·      Trial planning and implementation arranging trial layouts and drilling trials.

·      Liaise with host farmers and agronomist to identify and select suitable trial fields and to ensure input recommendations are implemented at the optimum time.

·      Application of agrochemical and fertiliser inputs.

·      Assessment of disease and other agronomic traits.

·      Coordination of and involvement in trials harvest.

·      Support the recruitment of temporary workers and co-ordinate them. Supervision of temporary staff as required to complete the major tasks.

·      Support toRegional Phenotyperand act as a point of contact for all official trials for sunflower.

·      Communicate with farmers on external sites, she/he gives the Regional Phenotyper all the information she/he can have to establish the contracts. She/he participates to the choice of locations and fields.

·      Overall responsibility for the implementation, participates to the transfer of the data into the computer system and to the cleaning of the data to provide a high-quality level.

·      Participates to the organization of the field visits.

·      Develops all the scientific and technical competences required for his activity.

·      Support other aspects of the breeding programme as required
