Sustainability Specialist

We are looking for a “Sustainability Specialist” with the following qualifications to be appointed at our company operating in Istanbul.

 General Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, international relations, business administration or position-related other fields; preferably a master’s degree in relevant field,
• Minimum 2 years of experience in sustainability/ESG-related disciplines,
• Excellent command of written and spoken English,
• Particular subject matter knowledge in GHG emissions calculation (ISO 14064, GHG protocol) and CDP Reporting,
• Advanced in MS Office application,
• Analytic thinking, analyzing and reporting capability,
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

 Job Description:

• Carrying out sustainability reporting activities,
• Leading internal and external high-quality sustainability reporting, including annual sustainability reports, internal management reports, stakeholder reporting requirements, etc.
• Coordinating the Sustainability Governance Platform, Sustainability Committees etc., and follow the goals and performance processes of the relevant functions,
• Having knowledge about sustainability indexes such as Dow Jones (S&P), FTSE4Good, MSCI, Refinitive,
• Defining the company's “Net Zero” targets within the scope of Science Based Targets and prepare the needed action plans,
• Designing, producing, reporting, and monitoring sustainability/ESG KPIs,
• Having worked with standards such as ISO 14064, ISO 14040/44 carbon footprint, product life cycle,
• Managing the relations with the member organizations regarding sustainability, working towards meeting the membership conditions,
• Having taken responsibility in stakeholder engagement processes, social development programs, social benefit-oriented projects in line with international good practices,
• Organizing the regular meetings of the Sustainability Committee, working on increasing knowledge and awareness on sustainability within the organization and external stakeholders, organizing events/trainings under the coordination of relevant units.
