QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Key responsibilities

• Create an environment of continuous improvement and rapid response to our client’s needs, based on a deep awareness of their business from both a tactical and strategic perspective
• Execution of a centralized “customer service” center for Maersk supply chain solution customers in Europe
• Active stakeholder management as well as communication to the Program Management community and customer service offices across the globe
• Provide active guidance and input to operations team on execution of required processes for selected customers
• Responsibility for implementation of new client set up, from their onboarding to business as usual status
• Management and monitoring of task split between GSC (remote team), origin and Eur Ops Tower with the creation of improvements and further sustainable solutions. Management of smooth communication between GSC and Origin teams.
• Ownership of internal and external performance measures, reviews and continuous improvement initiatives, reporting on the results with stakeholders globally
• Ownership of periodic performance reviews with client owners and clients
• Be the escalation point for operational challenges and requirements
• Ensure all the standard customer procedures/operation guides "SOP/IOP(s)" are adhered to and shortfalls are corrected on priority
• Manage and develop the Europe Control Tower team in Istanbul and the remote GSC (remote team) with focus on consistent performance, creating one team environment and talent pipeline

We are looking for

• 6+ years operational experience in supply chain management with exposure to key accounts an advantage.
• Clear understanding of Supply Chain Ocean/Air operations with focus on export processes
• Project management – experience in leading large scale projects with significant top management focus.
• Wide geographical experience an advantage.
• Working knowledge of operational platforms including global and local applications.
• Good industry & customer knowledge.
• Experienced in persuasion and negotiation with a demonstrable record of delivering mutually beneficial compromises.
• Ability to communicate and build strong effective networks with stakeholders on local/regional/global scope across geographies
• Experience of working with wide variety of complex operational and commercial challenges
• Ability to structure own work to ensure delivery on short term tasks whilst maintaining momentum on longer term strategic issues
• Excellent communication and influence skills with comfort in working in conjunction with and presenting to all levels of external parties (Customers and Suppliers)
• Continuous improvement mind-set, past experience with lean tools is nice to have
• Ability and desire to drive project to successful completion
• Financial, commercial and operational acumen
• Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify activities
• Customer service and commercial mindset
• MS Office experience (Word, Power Point, Outlook)
• Advanced Excel skills
