Data Science and Business Analytics Specialist

We are looking for a “Data Science and Business Analytics Specialist” to join Strategic Planning and Corporate Development department. The position will be reporting to Strategic Planning and Corporate Development Director.

What You’ll be doing:

·      Perform activities on data analysis, business analytics, business intelligence and machine learning oriented tasks in coordination with other business units (operations, commercial, financial) for continuous improvement of company’s information management, operational excellence, decision making and reporting processes;

·      Support various business units for operational data needed from SAP and other systems – also identifies ways to automate such requests and/or facilitate self-serve for business units for data/reports;

·      Performs statistical analysis and other methods including machine learning for providing operational forecasts;

·      Support data gathering initiatives for the business intelligence and analytics teams;

·      Optimize business processes using industry and technology best practices;

·      Support the development of company’s digital assets as a complement to its physical assets and company objectives;

·      Support company-wide IT strategy and digitalization / industry 4.0 efforts within the company in coordination with department heads.

·      Develops in-depth knowledge and expertise and performs analysis to ensure accuracy of corporate information and data systems and their associated interconnectivity;

·      Develops, maintains performance metrics, runs queries, and reports using Business Intelligence tools and other systems for Utility Operations, including KPIs;

·      Creates and constantly improves dashboards for management;

What You Should Have:

·      Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering (software, computer, industrial), Maths, or Statistics program from a top-tier university with strong academic records;

·      M.Sc. degree is a plus;

·      Experience in the field of Data Science,

·      Expertise on using MS office programs;

·      Advanced level proficiency using Tableau, SAP HANA, Business Objects, SQL, or GI and / or ability to build data analysis applications on R, Phyton etc. platforms is a plus;

·      Knowledge of statistical analysis methods;

·      Knowledge about data reporting and business intelligence products and techniques;

·      Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills;

·      Ability to complete analytical data intensive projects, as well as the ability to clearly communicate the results to a broad spectrum of audiences.

·      Proactive and results oriented approach;

·      Open minded, innovative conceptual thinking ability;

·      Strong communication skills and executive presence; proficiency in written and spoken English;
