R&D Engineer - Integration Mechatronics

Qualifications:

• Releasing of electrical/electronical components for Mercedes Benz trucks, allowing the usage of non-released parts at vehicles
• Degree in electrical/electronical/mechatronics and similar engineering branches
• Satisfactory knowledge and/or experience electric/electronics and basic knowledge and/or experience in automotive
• Favoured/required skills: MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Office, Daimler Documentation System (EDS, BCS, SAFIRA, Eng. Client etc.)
• Preferably German (and/or English)

Job Description:

• "Component responsibility" at Mercedes Benz Trucks for "electrical/electronical components" (fuses/relays or power distribution units and related components)
•  Research and development of the components considering customer needs, cost effectiveness, technical requirements and innovational solutions and improving the competitiveness of the company's products in the target markets.
• Participation in global projects and cooperation with related departments in the global development network of the Daimler Trucks  (DAG, Brazil, China, etc.)
• Negotiation over technical changes with Daimler AG development units, suppliers and construction service providers and coordination of implementation of these change scopes,
• Changing existing components according to technical requirements and/or financial advantages, working out change requests originating from engineering workshop, quality issues, cost reduction ideas, etc.
