QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

This role will be reporting to IT Application, Development and Maintenance Manager.


Job Description

·     Development, maintenance & continuity of any core/peripheral applications within MetLife Turkey.

·     Becomes a part of CPI (continuous process improvement) initiatives to optimize software development processes and methodologies

·     Follows standards to which the application & database developers and Quality Control teams must adhere

·     Follows goals and objectives for software developers and Quality Control associates that supports the strategic goals and needs of the organization

·     Identifies potential service level problems before they occur and implement or communicate solutions

·     Assists in the development and implementation of processes that improve efficiency and enhance productivity

·     Helps to leverage ITIL best practice to conduct current/future state gap analysis on existing processes

·     Becomes a part of the day to day operations of Application Support & Vendor Management

·     Manage personal development of Application Support & Vendor Management teams & periodically measure their performance

·     Handle Major & Minor incidents in regards to MetLife’s internally developed Applications and coordinate with required parties for resolution

·     Handle Major & Minor incidents regards to 3rd party sourced systems or IT Operations Services and coordinate with required parties

·     Develop and implement the strategy, policies and their corresponding standards, procedures and guidelines for Application Support & system operations & engineering

·     Helps to create and maintain the catalog description of existing services offered by MetLife

·     Helps to make improvements on an ongoing basis to continually improve quality and customer satisfaction with IT services

·     Assess SLAs/SLOs/KPIs performances and regularly provide reports to executive management

·     Review service metrics (SLAs/SLOs/KPIs) that identify the success of the services being utilized to recommend and coordinate implementation of changes to ITSM services to improve metrics

·     Define and create supplier contracts throughout the process lifecycle

·     Define and monitor contractual SLAs/SLOs/KPIs

General Qualifications      

·     Fluent English

·     At least 5 years experience

·     Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields     

·     Broad and extensive knowledge of the software development process and its technologies

·     Strong knowledge of computer languages, such as C#, .Net Framework, MVC

·     Strong background in coding and software development practices such as refactoring, TDD, secure software development

·      Strong knowledge and experience of Server - Client architecture, Integrations

·      Strong knowledge and experience of Web Services (SOAP, Restful)

·      Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools

·      Experience with database creation and maintenance

·      Experience with PL/SQL
