We as MGallery The Bodrum Hotel Yalıkavak are looking for an Chief Engineer to join our amazing team, where we make the impossible possible to make our guests and talents dreams a reality!
As Chief Engineer, you will supervise, alongside with your team, all the technical aspects of the hotel.
The Duties:
Technical expertise:
- Makes sure that fire security installations are in good working order
- Is responsible for the smooth running of all the hotel's technical processes and installations
- Runs regular checks on technical equipment to prevent any problems
- Implements corrective action plans
- Manages energy costs efficiently
- Prepares and tracks the action plans instigated by the Safety Commission and audit authorities
- Trains personnel on the hotel's safety regulations and procedures
- Tracks and treats any recurrent technical problems in the hotel
- Advises the General Manager when specialist intervention is required
- Tracks and optimizes energy consumption
- Implement maintenance directives, policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with the local legislation
- Help define yearly technical budget
- Anticipate and address issues related to maintenance matters of the hotel
Hygiene & Safety:
- Organizes and follows up security and fire prevention training for all hotel staff
- Keeps the hotel security register up-to-date
- Organize and apply the procedures to be followed in the event of a fire evacuation
- Coordinates and manages the regulatory procedures and follow-up processes (safety of people and property, quality, guests' comfort)
Management:
- Behaves and acts (as a manager) in an exemplary fashion, embodying the brand mindset
- Organizes and checks employees' work
- Ensures that the team provides a high standard of service
- Identifies the training needs for technicians and prepares appropriate training plans
- Helps employees improve their skills and provides support for career development
- Manages, motivates and organizes his/her teams
- Works in collaboration with the other departments
Administration:
- Follows up investment and maintenance budgets (contracts, purchasing etc.)
- Handles relations with sub-contractors
- Is involved in scheduling investments and supervising renovation work
- Negotiates contracts with sub-contractors and monitors the services provided by referenced suppliers
Work Experience
The Profile:
- Certificate or Diploma in electronics or technical studies, or degree in hotel maintenance
- 3 years of experience in a similar field
- Must have practical and theoretical skills in related areas: cold-storage, air-conditioning, building pathology, water processing, Public Building regulations
- Knowledge and experience of associated computer applications
