SOFTWARE ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION

At Mikro-Tasarım, we’re known for innovative technologies in IR (Infrared) imaging systems that solve problems for a wide range of areas — and we need a new software developer to be part of our software development team. We’re currently seeking a highly skilled software engineer to provide the business knowledge and technical expertise to develop software solutions for our IR imaging systems.  Software Engineer Job Responsibilities:

• Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
• Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
• Follows the software development lifecycle.
• Develops well-designed, testable and efficient code
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
• Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
• Integrates software components into a fully functional software system
• Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoots, debugs and upgrades existing systems
• Obtains and licenses software by obtaining required information from vendors, recommending purchases, and testing and approving products.
• Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Complies with project plans and industry standards

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in C/C++, and object-oriented design skills
• Application architecture and design patterns
• Experience in embedded software development
• Familiar with device driver development for the Linux kernel
• Experience with building custom Linux OS and cross compilation methodologies
• Experience serving as software developer throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance is preferred
• Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
