SOFTWARE ENGINEER (DDS) – (SE-DDS1914)

We are looking for Software Engineers to be based in Ankara. The candidates will be offered to work on the MilSOFT Data Distribution Service product.

Responsibilities:

Understanding the OMG (Object Management Group) DDS (Data Distribution Service) specifications

Eliciting requirements from the specifications and from the customer needs

Design of simple, clean models traced to the requirements

Implementation of the designed model

Development of unit test procedures traced to the model

Development and execution of higher level test procedures traced to the requirements

Fixing problems reported by existing customers, executing regression and feature tests

Benchmarking in terms of latency, throughput, memory usage and CPU utilization

Making improvements in order to achieve better performance, pushing to the limit

Seeking and applying the best practices to the problems encountered

Documenting and being peer reviewed at every step of the way

Contributing to the product and boosting its market share

Required Qualifications:

B.S in a Computer Science/Engineering or relevant program

Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures and algorithm design

Strong analytical skills and excellent problem solving abilities

Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive

Proficiency in at least one of C++ and Java programming languages

Good understanding of Object-Oriented Paradigm and Design Patterns

Good understanding of Multi-Threaded Programming

Good verbal and written communication skills

1+ years professional experience in software development

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with OMG DDS

Familiarity with distributed systems and computer networks

Familiarity with REST, WebSocket and SOAP technologies

Familiarity with CASE tools and UML

Familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages

Candidates must be proficient in English. Military service must be completed or be deferred at least 3 years for male candidates. Workplace is in Teknokent Ankara. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted only.
