Environmental Engineer

• A BSc or MSc degree in Environmental Engineering
• Preferred coursework would include Environmental Management System documentation preparation and maintenance
• Additional useful courses would include strength of waste management, sampling and monitoring, biodiversity, rehabilitation, water treatment plant operations and technical writing
• Must also have good numeracy skills, be confident in mental arithmetic and have a logical approach to a job
• Experience on GIS software (ArcGIS, Civil 3D, QGIS, MapInfo etc.) is a preference
• Must have good communication and English fluency skills
• Must be flexible to travel to different operation areas
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record and the military service should be served

İŞ TANIMI

• Responsible for sustaining the comprehensive environmental monitoring program
• Analyses the monitoring data obtaining from field, internal/external lab returns and do quality-control checks and validation
• Maintains and updates the developed monitoring database and generates the compliance graphs for environmental reporting
• Checks the sampling and monitoring equipment performance, calibrates the equipment in definite intervals
• Responsible for site wide management of domestic and hazardous wastes including on-site and off-site disposal
• Prepares the daily program and assignments for environmental team employees, and coordinates the program with team officers
• Responsible for operating the mine site water treatment plant; ensure compliance with standards; follows up the protective and the preventive maintenance of the plant
• Responsible for environmental workplace inspections; Prepares, reviews and updates environmental inspection reports and follows up the corrective measures
• Tracks and ensure compliance with all project related government permits
• Assists with completion, implementation and maintenance of Environmental Management System
• Assists with environmental training of employees and contractors
• Assists with planning and tracking the reclamation activities
• Assists with spatial data management (GIS) for various projects related with mining operations
• Assists with nearby exploration fields’ environmental management system implementation
• Within the delegated authority, the Environmental Engineer will be responsible for all departmental activities in the absence of department Manager/Superintendent
