QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

• Candidates will take part in approved KOSGEB and TUBITAK projects. Within the scope of the projects, academic consultancy is received from the Middle East Technical University and Boğaziçi University.
• The opportunity to work remotely will be provided.

Required Qualifications:

• Understanding of signal processing with application to speech and audio processing.
• Experience in deep neural networks.
• Experience with transfer learning. 
• Working knowledge of PyTorch, TensorFlow or Keras. 
• Good knowledge of and experience with Python and/or C/C++. 
• Having knowledge of the design patterns and anti-patterns. 
• Being familiar with Linux environments. 
• Experience with building machine learning models to deliver scalable solutions to business problems. 
• Ability to apply existing methods as well as invent new algorithms to solve problems. 
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and successfully implement them is essential. 
• Working independently and in an hands-on manner. 
• Strong linguistic background and analytical mindset.

• Having experience on speech-to-text tasks. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with an automatic speech recognition (ASR) toolkit such as XLSR, Kaldi, DeepSpeech, Wav2vec.
•  Master’s degree (in progress or completed) or PhD (in progress or completed) in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, computational linguistics, or work experience of minimum 2-3 years.
• Having related scientific publications. 

Responsibilities: 

In this role, you will work on:

• improving the understandability of the digital speech signals, 
• implementing speech-to-text methods to Turkish speech and improving the methods.
