RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Supporting the further implementation of Zero Defect Initiative to drive continuous improvement with Operational Excellence and Lean Transformation.

·      Directly leading and managing digital operational improvement projects, implementing digital tools and mobile apps, ensuring projects achieve desired objectives, managing expectations and risks, and ensuring post-implementation benefits are realized.

·      Finding, developing and implementing new opportunities in order to drive continuous improvement.

·      Working with plant leaders as necessary to create an action-biased culture of continuous improvement and accountability to improve KPI’s, including customer satisfaction and productivity.

·      Utilizing problem solving techniques (8-D & RCA) to analyse, evaluate and permanently correct internal and external customer issues.

·      Running continuous improvement activities such as workshops, Kaizens, SMED’s and projects, using various methodologies, tools and systems: lean, pull manufacturing, total productive maintenance, waste reduction, Lean Leadership, 5S, Visual Management and various diagnostic tools, etc.

·      Monitors and supports KPIs for overall performance and process effectiveness within the plant. Supports/coaches KPI owners in completion of gap analyses, identification and implementation of corrective actions, and assessment to ensure that gap is closed

·      Calculating opportunities realized through projects, working closely with Finance and Project sponsors to achieve agreed final impact of projects.

·      Acting as an internal consultant for sharing and implementation of operational excellence best practices primarily within the plant.

QUALIFICATIONS

·       Bachelor’s Degree in engineering

·       Minimum 4 years plant based manufacturing experience, previous project management experience and continuous improvement skills training.

·       Analytical, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills to assess needs, understanding issues, and identify improvement opportunities.

·       Able to become the Continuous Improvement go-to person for the plant and build a culture of continuous improvement.

·       Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to represent site continuous improvement activities.

·       Strong PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other applicable applications such as Microsoft Power BI, Minitab, etc.

·       Very good command in spoken and written English
