• Minimally a Bachelors Degree in a Technical Field or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years experience of working in the automotive sector supplying products (directly to OEM’s preferred) in Logistics or Purchasing.
• The necessary knowledge acquired through experience is more valuable than the specific theoretic knowledge.
• Ability to juggle and handle multiple tasks without losing priority.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Must have strong and effective leadership skills.
• Must be comfortable with all levels of employees and have the ability to drive positive program change.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Presentation and time management skills required.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication and leadership skills required.
• Must be innovative and have the ability to make changes to the operation as needed to further improve the work environment and unit performance.
• Experienced with Data Analytics.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
• Understanding of technical drawings and how to read engineering Bills of Material.
• Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.
• Cooperate with partners to guarantee agreement on terms and processes.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
• Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques.
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
• Influence contract strategy in complex contract negotiations and discussions.
• Track and monitor new contracting requests across the Category.
• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with Vendors.
• Coordinates the implementation of executed contracts to properly communicate contract requirements/changes internally.
• Responsible for ensuring all in-house documents, tracking information, and data flow for the Category are properly updated.
• Build plans to match internal and external capacities with customer demands.
