Big Data Analytics Architect

Essential

• Multidisciplinary knowledge and experience on big data platforms, analytical modelling, and software design with the capability to bring these together for architecting Big Data Analytics solutions
• PhD degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields
• Deep understanding of statistical and predictive modelling, machine learning, data science
• Strong understanding of anomaly detection techniques
• Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Elastic, Kafka, Spark, Storm, etc.)
• Understanding of Scalable Algorithms (preferable with Big Data Platform)
• Using Python/R/Java for statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
• Business strategy skills to build the algorithms necessary to address business objectives
• Strong skills in technical leadership
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced agile development environment
• Proactive approach for owning tasks
• Comfortable with reading and writing technical documentation 
• Fluency in English (both verbal and written) 

Preferred

• Security data processing and analysis experience
• Anomaly detection related experience
• Fraud detection related experience
• Knowledge of networking
• Knowledge of telecom data

Responsibilities

·         Define business and system requirements, system architecture and analytical models for security analytics products

·         Prototyping data analysis and predictive analytics solutions for anomaly, attack, threat and fraud detection

·         Contribute evidence-based strategies and recommendation on analytics approaches and product roadmap

·         Understand and work around possible limitations in models

·         Work with other architects and project manager on planning and design of products

·         Guide and support the software development team to understand and implement the system architecture

·         Proactively improve analytical approaches, methodologies, data, and reporting capabilities

·         Perform data collection and management

·         Follow state-of-the-art in related fields

·         Track and direct work of academic consultants, disseminate the models and algorithms within the team and drive the integration of the models into the products

·         Collaborate to create new dashboards, reports, and forecasting modules
