Ims Integration Engineer

Job Summary:

IMS Integration Engineers are involved in domestic and international customer projects. As member of the team, the engineer is accountable for the successful delivery of an Integrated, Verified and Validated (IV&V) Customer Solution that meets the contractual specifications.

The activities are mainly a combination of detailed design, installation & commissioning, configuration & integration, end to end testing and customer acceptance of ZTE’s vIMS solutions.

The activities are in general performed from NETAŞ but depending on project needs, travelling to other countries might be required for short- or long-term assignments at customer premises. We offer a challenging position and the ability to grow with us.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Telecommunications or equivalent. General knowledge of telecommunication and information technologies
• Military Service completed or at least postponed for 3 years
• Advanced level of English language skills
• IP networking and Internet technologies
• Understanding of PSTN and/or VoIP technologies
• Understanding of Cloud Technologies (Openstack NFV etc.)
• CCNA level network knowledge, CCNA certificate is a plus
• Linux working knowledge (file system, bash scripting, crontab)
• Analytical skills to analyse requirements and functional specifications
• Experience, or the willingness to build up experience with test automation tools, simulators, etc…
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Network troubleshooting and analysis tools, e.g. Wireshark
• Self-starter, demonstrates a ‘can-do’ attitude and open to learn new things
• Strong communication skills and comfortable in discussing ideas and solutions with others
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Ability to adapt quickly to new role requirements
• Customer focused, team player, interested in technology evolution
• Available for domestic and international travel

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to detailed design and work on installation & commissioning, configuration & integration, end to end testing and customer acceptance of ZTE’s vIMS solutions.
• Support pre-sales activities, including pre-studies
• Analytical skills to analyze requirements and functional specifications, understand High Level Design Documents and contribute Low level Design documents
• Ability to prepare project related documentation such as Validation Strategy, Test Specifications and Plan, Methods Of Procedures, Acceptance Test Plan, etc.
• Experience, or the willingness to build up experience with test automation tools, simulators, etc.
• Close co-operation with the different NETAŞ organizations, ZTE product and R&D teams and third-party suppliers to perform the role
• Perform Configuration Management, generating and updating customer solution documentations and descriptions
• Fault handling and corrective actions on node, service and infrastructure level
• When needed covering the 7x24 monitoring shift responsibilities (On call support, Baby Sitting activities etc.)
• Provide input, implement and verify improvements in processes and work instructions.
• Active participation in knowledge sharing through regular contributions.
• Work in project delivery and acceptance testing as delivery team to ensure proper deployment of the solution.
• Maintain NETAŞ ZTE Cloud Core Network lab for demo and test activities.
