Business Area Supply Chain Planner

If so, then seize the opportunity and become our new Supply Chain Planner for Business Area Office based in Istanbul. You will report to the Business Area Supply Chain Manager. 

BANEC consists of 22 countries (Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Russia, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Moldova, Mongolia, Pakistan, Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine) covering a population base of 670 million people and with 1,126 colleagues dedicated to Changing Diabetes, Changing Possibilities in Haemophilia and to make a difference in the other diseases we help treat. The business area office is in Istanbul.


About the department

You will be part of a successful Logistics organization and be part of the Business Area Finance, Logistics & IT (FLIT) team, which is responsible for driving FLIT strategies and supporting effective execution in the business area. 


The position

As a Supply Chain Planner, you will be responsible for forecasting, planning, and scheduling replenishments in line with Novo Nordisk operations. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams with many stakeholders to ensure plans are aligned with demand and supply. Furthermore, you will be involved in driving Sales & Operations, planning process with relevant stakeholders, also own forecasting process and follow up the forecast accuracy performance.

In this key role you will be

  • Handling Logistics Management where you will be participating in launch coordination meetings and coordinate the alignment between affiliate teams and PS Launch Office.  
  • Involved in Inventory Management where you will play a key role in calculating the optimum minimum and maximum stock. 
  • Responsible to monitor regularly stock levels of relevant affiliates to ensure that stock coverage is within min and max level. 
  • Flagging pro-actively any supply risks, overstock risks and freshness risk to mitigate the potential issues. 
  • Driving the task force team and alert relevant internal and external stakeholders for any potential risks and issues. 
  • Maintaining accurate forecast in forecasting database and following up the accuracy performance; act as the major contact point between Novo Nordisk factories, shipping & customer service, and affiliates to ensure smooth communication.
  • Working very closely with Regulatory Affairs, to ensure compliance of the supply for each affiliate, diligently checking payment instruments such as L/C’s and requesting necessary amendments; controlling correctness of payment instrument contents, managing and coordinating third party agents located in affiliate countries, as well as internal NN departments to assure optimal delivery performance

Qualifications

  • You hold a minimum degree in BA, engineering or similar stream. Industrial Engineering degree is an asset.
  • MSc in Supply Chain would be an added advantage. 
  • You have 3 years of relevant experiences in Supply Chain in planning, customer service, and import/export environment. 
  • You have a basic knowledge of international trade, trading tools along with a strong background of Logistic and Inventory Management skills. 
  • You are strong in logistics skills in a cold chain environment with international trade and logistics knowledge. 
  • You have SAP experience/knowledge, especially in R3. 
  • You are very good at communication and negotiation skills, flexible and able to handle time pressure and have multicultural understanding. 
  • Fluent in written and verbal English is a must.
  • Written and verbal Arabic skills would be an added advantage.
