Our client is a sourcing office  aboutsteel and welding. We are looking for "Quality Control Manager " for our client's Sourcing Office in Turkey.

JOB DUTIES

• This position will provide management in relation to Quality Assurance programs as well as organize, plan, implement, and control a quality assurance program at the Turkey level which will deliver best in class overall customer satisfaction, reduce overall manufacturing costs.

• Responsible for developing and implementing quality management strategy, plans, quality Policy and establishing quality objectives whilst creating and fostering a culture of individual quality ownership. 

• Define and lead quality related action plan based on yearly customer satisfaction survey or any other customer feedback to establish and drive internal audit programmes and deliver appropriate communications.

• Ensure compliance to the Quality Management System and work to align the system to meet current business and customer needs while continuously evaluating its effectiveness and adherence.

• Responsible for managing and maintaining ISO9001 and 3834 accreditations for defined suppliers

• Responsible for quality related performances according to agreed standards and driving necessary actions, through relevant teams, and communicate/advise/assist according to performance levels.

• Lead process improvements within the business. Define and implement regular processes aiming for continuous improvement.

• Lead and drive Scraps, Reworks and continuous Improvement. Identify and effectively analyze process data to improve the effectiveness and effciency of the Turkey site processes, as well as associated quality, manufacturing, engineering and process personnel.

• Actively participate in developing and managing supplier quality performance including management of concerns and supplier auditing.

• Effectively work cross-functionally in developing and managing New Product Introduction process in coordination with Project Leader with active participation in all relevant  Quality Integration activities.

• As Quality Manager it will be your job to ensure that all fabrication, welding and inspection is being undertaken in accordance with the relevant specifications and by competent and qualified personnel.

• It will be your job to liaise with all Sub-Contractors / SurfaceTreatment Works and to carry out random Inspections of these sites to ensure compliance to the required specifications as set out by Contract and then Purchase Orders and to ensure a good standard of workmanship is maintained throughout the contract. 

• You will also co-ordinate a team of both onsite and offsite inspectors to ensure inspection criteria on all projects are adhered to.

• You will also ensure reports from visits to Site, suppliers and sub-contractors to in-house inspections are produced and recorded with contract documentation.

• Other work in this position includes compiling weld maps in line with project requirements, ensuring all welder qualifications are correct and up to date and the calibration of all welding and NDE equipment.

• As you are working with and reporting back to clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers you will need to have excellent verbal and oral communication skills, as well as being educated to a good standard. Welding inspector certification is helpfull for this role.

• In this role you will be working in the Quality team at  Kadıköy center and our various suppliers in Turkey.

• Since this is a sourcing company act like start-up agility each employee is responsible for all process (such as Finding customer, prepare offer, following production procedure, making loading as per given lead time, end-to-end process)

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

•  Management, Teamwork, Leadership, Eye For Detail, Reporting, Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Reading Specs and Schematics,  Conflict Resolution, Problem Solving, Multi-Tasking, Auditing, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Timeliness, Scheduling, Product Knowledge, Employee Education/Training, Product Testing, Communication, Innovation
•  5+ years experienced in steel and production welding areas. ( Structural steel, pressurized tank etc.)
• Experienced in preparing 0ITP (inspection test plan) Knowledge of required standards
• Experienced in managing quality control team
