Job Description
The position of Battery Management System Engineer will be part of our growing Energy System Development team and report to our VP of Operations. The BMSE is responsible for the design, development and execution of Battery Management System software and controls applications in both DC Low and High voltage lithium-ion battery systems. The individual will be responsible for specifying, implementing and validating control algorithms related to Li Ion battery systems. You will develop innovative technologies from concept to on-vehicle integration/stationary storage, enabling high-performance EV packs/Stationary Storage for internal and customer-driven development programs. The ideal candidate will have deep electrical and electronic design experience both from the circuit level up to the systems level and be familiar with a wide variety of circuit functions from power to control to sensor & signal designs. You will be a self-starter and enjoy working on a small team where you will own substantial and critical parts of the final product. We are working on groundbreaking technologies, so you’ll be energetic, adaptable, and a fast learner who can make quick design judgments with limited information.
· Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements
- · Education: Minimum Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field (Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, etc).
- · 3 years’ experience in electronics, electrical systems design, controls, or a related field.
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering and BMS architecture and implementation.
- Experience with embedded controls and software development processes, methods, and tools.
- · Knowledge with electronics skills (benchtop testing/debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment, soldering, PCB design).
- · Knowledge of board design, layout, fab, and bring-up.
- · Experience in board design, layout, fab, and bring-up.
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow (Embedded coder preferred)
- Experience with with common serial/bus communication protocols (Ex: I2C, SPI, UARTs, CAN).
- · Experience with High Voltage batteries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and must be able to design and conduct complex experiments.
- Experience working in an R&D prototype development environment.
- Attention to details and good time management skill. Ability to multi-tasking and engage multiple projects simultaneously.
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Design and develop architectures for functions such as power conversion, signal processing, embedded systems and special function designs related to battery management.
- Creates BMS control and diagnostic algorithms to achieve desired functionality, robustness, and safety.
- Builds technical subject matter expertise in BMS topics, actively participate in and contribute to technical reviews.
- Conducts trade studies to make the appropriate choice of hardware to support prototyping goals.
- Develops schematics, perform PCB layout, and work with external suppliers for fabrication
- Identifies areas of risk and work quickly to prototype and mitigate these.
- Evaluating system requirements and architecture with external customers and internal HW and SW architects.
- Allocating system requirements to the elements of the system and defining their interfaces and dynamic behavior (including electrical signals, communication protocols, etc.).
- Creation and visualization of overall system architecture from EE perspective.
- Ensuring consistency and bidirectional traceability between stakeholder requirements, system requirements, system architectural design, and relevant tests
- Supports the design and build of a prototype next-generation battery pack.
- Helps develop test setups to iterate on and validate designs.
- Takes ownership of the design, fabrication, and testing of BMS subsystem components.
Additional Job Requirements
- Previous experience in system, HW and/or SW level design of one or more products that include BMS, Traction Inverters, In-Vehicle Infotainment, HV DCDC-s or other various ECUs.
- Experience in eliciting high-level requirements from stakeholder requirements with varying levels of technical proficiency.
- Experience in developing and understanding high-level system requirements and system architecture.
- Ability to further developing requirements with highly technical engineering staff.
- Ability to handle all types of electrical signals, low voltage, high voltage, power networks, and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, etc.).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices in software products.

Pil Yönetim Sistemi Mühendisi pozisyonu, büyüyen Enerji Sistemi Geliştirme ekibimizin bir parçası olacak ve Operasyonlardan Sorumlu Başkan Yardımcımıza bağlı olacaktır. Aday, Pil Yönetim Sistemi yazılımının tasarımından, geliştirilmesinden ve yürütülmesinden sorumludur ve hem DC Alçak hem de Yüksek voltajlı lityum-iyon pil sistemlerindeki uygulamaları kontrol eder. Kişi, Li İyon pil sistemleriyle ilgili kontrol algoritmalarının belirlenmesinden, uygulanmasından ve doğrulanmasından sorumlu olacaktır. Dahili ve müşteri odaklı geliştirme programları için yüksek performanslı EV paketleri/Sabit Depolama sağlayan konseptten araç üstü entegrasyona/sabit depolamaya kadar yenilikçi teknolojiler geliştireceksiniz. İdeal aday, devre seviyesinden sistem seviyesine kadar derin elektrik ve elektronik tasarım deneyimine sahip olacak ve güçten kontrole, sensor ve sinyal tasarımlarına kadar çok çeşitli devre fonksiyonlarına aşina olacaktır. Çığır açan teknolojiler üzerinde çalışıyoruz, bu nedenle enerjik, uyarlanabilir ve sınırlı bilgiyle hızlı tasarım yargıları yapabilen hızlı öğrenen biri olacaksınız.

- Yurt içi ve yurt dışı proje sahalarına ve/veya bayilere seyahat edebilme
- Minimum Eğitim ve/veya Deneyim Gereksinimleri
- Eğitim: İlgili bir alanda (Elektrik/Bilgisayar Mühendisliği, Mekatronik, Elektronik, vb.) minimum Lisans veya Yüksek Lisans derecesi.
- Elektronik, elektrik sistemleri tasarımı, kontrolleri veya ilgili bir alanda 3 yıllık deneyim.
- Elektrik Mühendisliği ve Pil Yönetim Sistemi mimarisinin anlaşılması ve uygulanması.
- Gömülü kontroller ve yazılım geliştirme süreçleri, yöntemleri ve araçları konusunda deneyim.
- Elektronik becerilerine ilişkin bilgi (benchtop testing/debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment, soldering, PCB design).
