Field Technician Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated Field Technician Manager to oversee a group of technicians and serve as a dedicated expert for our customers in the glass and steel industry. The team is responsible for performing onsite data collection using our sensor products. In this role, will be responsible for the installation of PaneraTech Polaris sensors and performance of Smartmelter inspections on multiple glass furnaces in different customer plants. This is a remote position that will require travel to our customers in Turkey.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring efficiency and accuracy regarding safety and maintenance of our customers’ critical assets,
• Providing installation and maintenance of our sensor products at glass and steel manufacturing facilities,
• Leading a team of field technicians on daily maintenance and installation operations,
• Organizing and managing team schedule for installation operations,
• Installing Polaris equipment maintained by PaneraTech in various field locations,
• Performing routine maintenance on sensor equipment,
• Documenting management of installation and repairs,

• Carrying out a comprehensive SmartMelter inspection of glass furnaces,
• Observing, abiding by and enforcing the Company’s Health & Safety policies,

• Ensuring compliance with all company policies and safety practices applicable to areas of responsibility,
• Maintaining knowledge of and apply company safety, labor, and ethics policies,
• Identifying and resolving and / or report potential safety, security, and labor issues,
• Training direct reports on how to safely and properly install PaneraTech equipment,
• Overseeing execution of mandatory training for direct reports,
• Providing assistance with work execution and problem solving,
• Troubleshooting escalated issues and provide coaching for resolution,
• Presenting a professional image to customers in all forms of communication,
• Developing and maintaining good working relationships with customers ensuring punctuality and professionalism,
• Reporting to Field Engineering Manager on progress or delays,
• Completing of site tasks and activities as required.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree,
• Good command English, both written and verbal,
• At least 3 years proven experience in a previous managerial role,
• At least 3 years of experience working in a high temperature work environment.
• Strong customer service skills,
• Being able to work in hot conditions and meet the sensory demands of the job,
• Ability to adapt to a variety of industrial work environments and quickly solve problems,
• Prone to teamwork, high communication skills,
• Detail-oriented, successful in providing appropriate information flow,
• The ability to travel and willing to have a flexible work schedule.
