Deputy Operations Manager – Turkey will provide managerial and administrative support, especially with day to day issues, to the Operations Manager and Management Team for the successful and profitable running of all PEAK group trips and other specified travel products, to the standards stipulated in the PEAK Service Level Agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Extensive travel experience in the region and a passion for travel
Travel industry work experience, preferably as a PEAK tour Leader
Management coaching / training experience desirable
Excellent communication (verbal & written) in both English and Turkish
A workable knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software
Reliable with outstanding organizational skills
You will also be expected to perform other duties from time to time which may fall outside the scope of your major duties
and responsibilities but which may be required to be performed as business circumstances dictate.
OTHER SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
A strong knowledge of Intrepid’s /PEAK’s brands style of travel, Responsible Travel philosophy, operating systems and trips
An understanding of regional culture and business etiquette
The ability to work with a diverse group of Leaders with sensitivity, recognizing the demands of group leading
Ability to handle a multitude of tasks that may be on the go at the one time
A willingness to work flexible hours
A capacity to make decisions independently
Outstanding organisational skills
An understanding of and commitment to customer satisfaction
Excellent verbal communication skills and writing ability

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
To participate in regular office meetings
To travel to PEAK destinations within the region
Be on call via mobile phone out of office hours
Attend Operations functions outside office hours
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

Provide Group Leaders with access to up to date Information on the country they are working in, trips specific information, Leader Trip notes and operational systems and procedures. Work closely with Contracting & Reservation to obtain relevant trip information. |

Provide support for Group Leaders in running their trips, including being the first port of call for Group Leaders when issues occur |
|
Maintain and nourish Operator relationships. Meaning also being the first port of call for all issues happening on a trip already running and addressing and solving them directly with operators. This includes also visiting (where possible) and contacting Operators on a regular basis. |
|
Facilitate on-going learning and development of Leader so that each Leader performs at their best |
|
Provide assistance to the Operations Manager in achieving the overall aims and goals for the country’s operations. |
|
Ensure that all passenger information (Welcome Notes, Booklets, City Sheets) are regularly updated and provided to Leaders for distribution and/or visible and available to pax on all Arrival/Departure locations. |
|
Proactively enforce PEAK Safety Regulations |
|
Provide assistance with new Leader Recruitment in coordination with HR. |
|
Achieve a high level for branding, safety and RT on trips in the regions involved |
|
Assist the OM with the coordination of the Leader Schedule |
|
Actively promote Responsible Travel with Tour Leaders and Local partners |
|
