As a Transport Network Consultant, you'll join our Network Services Group (NSG). NSG is responsible for the delivery of our automation and AI-based network services to mobile operators that aim for operational excellence and superior customer experience. NSG works closely with P.I. Works Engineering team in the development and testing of new features and solutions to drive intelligent operations and enhance the quality and efficiency of the network.

Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize high capacity microwave and fiber links to support deployment projects
• Coordinate both leased line and MW link deployment to facilitate/support expansions & re-route operations
• Monitor the network and provide solutions for the quality and capacity problems to achieve KPIs
• Provide reporting to the management or governance teams when required on transport planning project deliverables
• Follow up SLAs
• Keep all transmission-related databases up-to-date

Qualifications required for the job:

• BSc degree from Engineering Departments relevant to Mobile Telecommunications
• To have the ability to plan microwave and fiber scenarios for Multi-Tech Networks (2G/3G/4G) based on pre-defined guidelines and report on the plans accordingly
• Experience on transport network E2E deployment methodology
• Provide support on and off-site support with technical issues, new processes, and tools to ensure new designs are smoothly introduced into the network
• Practical experience/understanding of an operational network environment, ability to understand and foresee risks, problems & issues from a technical and operational perspective
• Knowledge of network hardware (routers, switches) architecture and TCP/IP protocols
• Hands-on experience on MW planning tools: Aircom Connect, Forsk Atoll, Pathloss, etc.
• Very good knowledge of Ericsson and NEC Radio Link equipment and management systems
• Knowledge on network monitoring software.: SolarWinds, Cacti, Zabbix, IPSLA,etc.
• No military obligations or postponed at least 3 years
• Strong customer relations, a positive thinker
• Fluent in Turkish language (writing/speaking)

Desired competencies: 

• Radio and Core Network knowledge
• Network certificate is a plus (CCNA, JNCIA, NRS, etc.)
• Hands-on configuration and operation with Huawei, Nokia Routers/Switches
• Familiar with standard platforms: ITU, IETF, IEEE,3GPP, etc.
• Python or equivalent scripting language
